  • Patient guideline for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic when suffering from cancer

Cancer patients in particular are one of the groups most at risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, it is very important to educate patients and their relatives on COVID-19 to guarantee both the success of the anticancer treatment as well as protect cancer patients from COVID-19.

Prof. Dr. Sehouli (Charité hospital Berlin) takes up central questions that arose in practice on how to deal with COVID-19 and other viral infections when suffering from cancer in this patient guideline by the Deutsche Stiftung Eierstockkrebs [German Ovarian Cancer foundation], which is available to you here. The guideline will help give you orientation as a patient during your drug-based and surgical cancer treatment as well as during follow-up treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We hope to be able to give you some support with this guideline during the COVID-19 pandemic and we wish you all the best.
